This customer-facing role is responsible for day-to-day communication, program adoption, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth within assigned accounts. Target accounts are hospitality clients and luxury resorts. The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor, driving operational excellence and strategic initiatives that align with customer goals. This role will also support vendor and product sourcing support on Island.
Job Responsibility:
Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers
Act as a dedicated on-site representative at client locations
Facilitate customer meetings and executive business reviews
Provide training and support on company technology and reporting platforms
Program Growth & Strategic Initiatives: Identify and implement opportunities for supply cost reduction, rebate growth, quality and safety improvements, and enhanced sustainability
Promote expanded use of local and diversity vendors
Drive adoption of new programs
Financial & Contract Management: Manage all aspects of customer contract requirements using project management tools
Monitor account performance metrics
Sourcing & Category Management: Collaborate with sourcing teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize supplier relationships
Support category strategies by recommending products and suppliers
Analyze purchasing trends
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and suppliers to deliver integrated solutions
Facilitate communication between customers and internal stakeholders
Reporting & Communication: Prepare clear and concise written materials, including strategic account plans and presentations
Provide regular updates on account health, program adoption, and growth opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
2–5 years of experience in account management or customer success
experience in food and beverage sourcing or category management preferred
Must be a permanent resident of the state of Hawaii
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPivot, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to build long-term relationships and work collaboratively across functions
