At Porter Novelli, you’ll be a key player at the intersection of food, agriculture, and corporate reputation. You’ll collaborate with global agribusinesses, commodity groups, industry associations, and nonprofits—helping them navigate not only everyday communications but also corporate crisis, issues management, and influential industry relations. • Drive Industry Relations: Build and nurture relationships with key industry organizations, third-party stakeholders, and influencers to advance clients’ business goals and elevate their presence in the market
  • Manage Integrated Campaigns: Oversee the development and execution of integrated communications campaigns—spanning media relations, content strategy, digital/social engagement, events, and multi-stakeholder partnerships
  • Drive Business Growth: Identify emerging opportunities in the food and ag sectors and support business development efforts that expand our agency’s reach
  • Crisis & Issues Management: Be at the forefront during critical moments, providing clients with calm, strategic counsel and actionable plans to effectively manage crises and protect their brand
  • Mentor and Inspire Teams: Lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional development
  • Ensure Operational Excellence: Oversee account health, budgets, forecasting, and profitability while ensuring exceptional client service

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in agriculture and food communications, with a strong background in corporate, agency, or industry association settings
  • Proven expertise in crisis communications, issues management, and industry relations within the food and agriculture sector
  • Successful track record managing B2B communications for commodity groups, food brands, or agribusinesses, including soy, corn and/or cotton
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, stakeholder needs, food safety, sustainability, and global food systems
  • Established relationships across media, trade, industry organizations, and influencers
  • Skilled in financial management, team leadership, and delivering measurable client results
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and client-facing communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for driving innovation and business growth
