Job Description:

Greydale Africa is looking for an Account Manager experienced in Event Marketing & Lead Generation. This role is responsible for designing and delivering strategic, event-led marketing programmes that generate high-quality leads for follow-up by sales teams. This role owns the strategy, planning, and performance of our B2B events and integrated campaigns, ensuring the right audiences attend, clear narratives are communicated, and measurable lead outcomes are achieved. Working closely with digital, telemarketing, and delivery teams, the Account Manager translates client objectives into compelling event concepts, effective lead-generation funnels, and insight-led reporting. The role is highly client-facing, commercially focused, and outcome-driven, balancing creative storytelling with data-informed decision-making to deliver events and campaigns that drive real business impact.

Job Responsibility:

  • Strategically design B2B events that prioritise quality attendance and qualified leads, not just footfall
  • Think creatively about how to attract the right decision-makers to events through targeted outreach, partnerships, and compelling value propositions
  • Plan and manage executive roundtables, client forums, breakfast meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Define event success upfront by identifying ideal attendee profiles, target accounts, desired actions, and lead qualification criteria
  • Develop innovative event marketing strategies that drive high-intent registrations and strong attendance rates
  • Create end-to-end lead-generation funnels around events, covering pre-event promotion, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-up
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to ensure messaging and targeting are optimised for senior B2B audiences
  • Design and oversee effective on-site lead capture mechanisms to ensure high-quality, usable data
  • Collaborate closely with the Telemarketing Associate to align event audiences with follow-up messaging and qualification criteria
  • Use client feedback to continuously refine targeting, messaging, and event formats
  • Set, track, and optimise KPIs, including registration-to-attendance ratio, lead quality, cost per qualified lead, and conversion to appointments or opportunities
  • Analyse campaign and event performance and turn insights into improved strategies
  • Act as the strategic lead on assigned client accounts
  • Confidently present ideas, strategies, and performance results to clients
  • Build long-term client relationships rooted in measurable business outcomes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of post-college experience in B2B marketing, events, or account management
  • Understands how events drive demand, not just attendance
  • Thinks in funnels, audiences, and outcomes
  • Is comfortable working with digital teams and sales/telemarketing functions
  • Can balance creativity with commercial thinking
  • Agency experience is a plus, but not essential
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one junior team member is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial SME environment

Nice to have:

  • Agency experience
  • Experience managing or mentoring at least one junior team member
What we offer:
  • Medical Insurance (inpatient and outpatient cover)
  • WIBA and employee liability cover
  • Competitive salary and end-of-year bonus tied to performance
  • Opportunity to be part of a dynamic, innovative, and growing team where your ideas matter
  • Shape how events drive revenue, not just awareness
  • Work on accounts with leading global brands
