The Account Executive (Design & Estimating) supports customers (Key account) by developing detailed technical designs and producing accurate cost estimates for audio-visual and access control solutions. The role is accountable for the technical integrity, pricing accuracy, and completeness of quotations and supporting documentation, while the Business Development Manager retains ownership of the customer relationship, commercial strategy, and final proposal. By ensuring solutions are fully costed, clearly defined, and ready for delivery, the role reduces commercial and delivery risk and enables efficient progression through the sales cycle.
Job Responsibility:
Design Development: Develop detailed technical designs for audio-visual and access control systems
Estimating & Quotation Production: Produce accurate cost estimates, quotations, and scopes of work
Technical Integrity: Validate system architectures, equipment selections, and assumptions
Sales Enablement: Support Business Development Managers by providing technical and cost information
Customer Support: Participate in customer meetings or calls to clarify technical requirements
Risk & Scope Management: Identify technical, commercial, and delivery risks
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with TechDev, Project Management, Technical Sales Engineers, Service & Maintenance teams, and manufacturers
