Job Description:

Join the US SMB & Growth travel team at Airwallex and help articulate how our product suite addresses pain points in the travel industry, from managing cross-border payments to mitigating currency fluctuations. If you have a customer first mentality, are solution focused, obsessively curious about everything, and have a desire to make an impact and grow yourself, our market, and our customers, then you have found your calling. Your primary focus will be bringing on new SMB travel customers and leveraging your skills in pitching, negotiating and driving internal processes to set up our partnerships for success. Overall, you’ll help modernize how travel companies move money and you’ll translate real industry pain points: supplier payouts across borders, FX exposure, reconciliation chaos, and fragmented payment flows.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close with travel businesses, navigating complex buying scenarios and consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • Identify high-potential travel clients through targeted outreach, attending industry events, and strategic networking to build a robust pipeline
  • Build trusted relationships and close deals with key travel businesses, solidifying Airwallex's position as a major player in the travel payments industry. Proactively develop and leverage a professional network within the travel vertical to accelerate opportunities
  • Identify and explore new sub-verticals within the industry, uncovering fresh opportunities for Airwallex's growth
  • Ensure clients fully leverage our platform capabilities to maximize value and drive strong retention
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (legal, finance, strategy) to structure winning partnerships for travel businesses
  • Share best practices, contribute to team strategies, and help elevate the standard of excellence across the SMB sales organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of inside and/or field sales experience closing net new business in a high growth company
  • experience in travel, fintech and/or international payments a must
  • A customer-focused, consultative approach to sales
