Job Description

Reporting to the Local Government Partnerships Manager you will drive apprenticeship sales growth by managing existing Local Government customers and securing new business opportunities within those accounts. The role focuses on high‑quality customer engagement, and establishing LDN as a training provider of choice across the sector

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and growth
  • Work closely with the Local Government Partnership Manager on account strategy and planning
  • Achieve annual sales targets (approx. £450k sales value in year one)
  • Cross-sell suitable programmes across customers and direct opportunities for the Community Engagement Academy and Local Government Sustainability Academy to the Local Government Partnership Manager and Sales Director
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on pipeline progress
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure smooth onboarding and learner success

Requirements

  • Experience in apprenticeship sales or Local Government B2B sales
  • Strong relationship building and communication skills
  • High levels of organisation, attention to detail and pipeline discipline
  • Ability to deliver professional and effective customer meetings

Nice to have

  • Understanding of Local Government Structures
  • Knowledge of apprenticeship funding, compliance and Local Government procurement vehicles
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders in complex environments
