The Account Executive, Government position focuses on the customer life cycle, supporting the growth of State and Local Government within an assigned territory. As a Government Account Executive, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in the State and Local market, managing contract renewals, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and increasing our revenue and retention rates.
Job Responsibility:
Generate new business opportunities within the assigned portfolio of existing and target accounts
Exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals while maintaining appropriate customer churn goals
Negotiate agreements and handle contract negotiations
Act as the brand ambassador within the assigned territory
Sell the total portfolio of T-Mobile solutions
Coordinate with Account Management, Dedicated Care, and other support team members
Use Salesforce.com and other internal systems effectively for reporting, forecasting, and documentation
Lead customer presentations and attend events as needed
Develop and execute account strategies
Engage with internal stakeholders
Complete continuous training
Use automated knowledge systems and training tools
Attain productivity and sales goals based on targeted metrics
Meet or exceed all departmental goals and business objectives
Demonstrate positive and cooperative behavior
Uphold high standards for ethical and professional conduct
Disburse adjustments and credits within established limits
Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED (Required)
4+ years of proven experience in outside direct sales within an assigned territory
2+ years of sales experience in the public sector preferred
2+ years in telecom or technology sales strongly preferred
2+ years of account management and strategic selling preferred

Good solid understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
Strong technical abilities and ability to learn new concepts quickly
