Job Description:

The Account Executive, Expansion, MM, is responsible for driving growth within existing mid-market accounts by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. This role focuses on strengthening relationships with current clients, understanding their business objectives, and delivering customized solutions that enhance their success. Reporting to the Team Lead of Sales, this role is essential for driving significant revenue growth and reinforcing Deel’s commitment to providing value and support to its clients.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicate with clients to understand their needs and explain product value
  • Manage the full sales cycle for renewals, upsell and cross-sell using cross-departmental expertise as primary resources
  • Collaborate with internal departments to facilitate client needs fulfilment
  • Proactively engage cross-functionally to bring new product development, client engagement and competitive intelligence strategies to the larger team
  • Meet or exceed monthly and yearly revenue targets
  • Maintain accurate SFDC data: accounts, opportunities, pipeline and forecasts
  • Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes
  • Acting as a client advocate with a focus on improving the buyer experience
  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally

Requirements:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in sales, specifically within mid-market account management or a similar role focused on expansion
  • Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in mid-market organizations
  • Experience using a consultative approach to understand client needs and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of effectively conveying ideas and engaging with clients
  • Proficiency in utilizing CRM systems and data analysis to track account performance and identify growth opportunities
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and understanding client challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including customer success, marketing, and product development
  • Fully proficient in French and English
  • Extensive experience managing b2b clients and expanding the business footprint within the France and Benelux region

  • Join Atlassian’s Solutions Engineering Core Team to partner with direct sales, partners and larger account teams on Mid-Market Accounts, tracking the overall customer profile, business problems and complexities, roadmaps, and solution success to optimize the customers within your account team territory
  • Participate in customer discovery to understand the customer's current state, what business problems they want to solve, and map back to the Atlassian products, platforms and solutions that will get them where they want to be
  • Probe for and identify additional opportunities for cross-product/solution expansion
  • Investigate, discover, and assess client pain points
  • Be a product expert of Atlassian software in the pre-sales process, articulating and showing the customer the value of the software and how it can change their way of working
  • Have a broad understanding of full Atlassian product and solution offerings and paint a compelling story of how they work together to unlock the power of teams
  • Lead compelling value-based demonstrations, both standard and customized, flexing across multiple different stakeholder needs, from deep individual product demos to selling the large vision of the whole portfolio
  • Understand, lead, and guide the customer's technical needs in the sales process to gain buy-in from the customer on Atlassian being the right decision
  • Proactively forge strong partnerships with aligned account executives, regularly discussing pipeline, current and upcoming opportunities and needs, bi-directional feedback, and ways to improve the selling cycle together
  • Understand, track and document product feedback and competitive intelligence from customers and advocate for the development internally by documenting and sharing with product management
