Our format is built around curated one-to-one meetings, high-quality content and first-class networking, helping senior decision-makers connect efficiently and meaningfully with relevant suppliers. OpenRoom runs a global portfolio of hosted buyer events across ReFuel, Dental, Veterinary and Pharmacy. Each event is designed to create valuable conversations, build long-term relationships and help businesses move forward. A confident, people-driven Account Executive to join the OpenRoom team and play a central role in recruiting high-quality hosted buyers across our event portfolio. This is a role for someone who thrives on outreach, builds rapport quickly with senior professionals, and takes real ownership of their targets. You'll be directly shaping the quality of our events and the value our suppliers and buyers get from them.
Job Responsibility
Identify, qualify and secure senior hosted buyers across assigned OpenRoom events through proactive outreach and conversion
Work to agreed weekly buyer recruitment targets and run rates, taking full ownership of delivery
Maintain consistent outbound activity across calls, emails, LinkedIn and structured follow-up
Build and manage a strong buyer pipeline using Salesforce, attendee lists, priority accounts and approved data sources
Build genuine relationships with senior decision-makers, clearly communicating the OpenRoom value proposition
Ensure confirmed buyers are relevant, senior and aligned to event audience profiles and supplier expectations
Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date, tracking outreach, confirmations, risks and next steps
Work closely with supplier sales, marketing, portfolio and operations teams to support event delivery
Support events onsite where required, helping buyers manage their schedules and maximise their experience
Requirements
Confidently engaging senior stakeholders across phone, email and video, you don't shy away from picking up the phone
A natural relationship-builder who earns trust and rapport quickly
Proactive, resilient and comfortable in a high-output outbound environment
Highly organised, with the ability to manage a pipeline, hit deadlines and stay on top of targets
Takes ownership, you structure your day around delivery, not admin
Comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce experience a bonus)
Collaborative and communicative across sales, marketing and operations teams
Curious about different sectors and what drives business decisions
Previous experience in events, sales, recruitment, account management or a customer-facing role is helpful, but not essential
