Job Description:

The Account Executive – Asset Intelligence will be one of the first dedicated sellers focused on this portfolio, helping industrial customers transform how they maintain and operate their equipment. You will own the full sales cycle for our Asset Intelligence solutions. You will educate prospects on how AI, IoT, OT and predictive maintenance can reduce downtime, extend asset life, and drive measurable ROI on maintenance operations. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product and Marketing to position MaintainX as the leading Asset and Work Intelligence platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the Asset Intelligence sales motion
  • Manage a full-cycle sales process for Asset Intelligence deals: prospecting, discovery, business case development, demos, pilots/POCs, negotiation, and close
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities, accurately forecasting monthly and quarterly results in CRM
  • Partner with core platform AEs and CSMs to identify and drive Asset Intelligence expansion within existing MaintainX customers
  • Deeply understand customer operations
  • Engage with maintenance, reliability, operations, and engineering leaders to understand their asset strategies, downtime challenges, and data landscape
  • Map customer use cases to MaintainX capabilities across IoT sensors, anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, and AI-powered reporting
  • Quantify business impact using metrics such as reduced unplanned downtime, improved MTBF/MTTR, inventory optimization, and labor utilization
  • Run compelling evaluations and pilots
  • Structure and lead pilots/POCs that validate predictive maintenance and anomaly detection use cases on high-value assets
  • Collaborate with Solutions Consultants and Implementation teams to define success criteria, timelines, and rollout plans
  • Translate technical results into clear business outcomes and ROI for executive decision-makers
  • Tell a differentiated story
  • Deliver tailored product demos and executive presentations that clearly articulate the Asset Intelligence vision and roadmap
  • Position MaintainX against alternatives (legacy CMMS, point predictive tools, internal builds) with a focus on unified data, frontline usability, and AI depth
  • Share market feedback and competitive insights with Product and Marketing to refine messaging and inform roadmap
  • Operate with excellence
  • Maintain clean, up-to-date account and opportunity data in Salesforce (or equivalent tools)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless handoff from new sale to implementation and ongoing success
  • Embrace a high-growth, iterative environment—testing outbound strategies, refining messaging, and helping shape the playbook for Asset Intelligence sales

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience
  • at least 2+ years selling into industrial / manufacturing / asset-intensive environments (e.g., maintenance, reliability, operations, plant management)
  • Proven track record of exceeding quota in a full-cycle AE role (prospecting through close) with an average deal size in the mid-market or enterprise range
  • Strong command of value-selling and discovery frameworks, particularly around ROI, total cost of ownership, and operational KPIs
  • Comfortable selling technical products—ideally involving data platforms, IoT, analytics, or AI/ML—and working with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • able to distill complex concepts (IoT, predictive models, AI recommendations) into clear business value
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline
  • Self-starter mindset: you enjoy building something new, iterating quickly, and operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience selling CMMS, EAM, APM, industrial IoT, condition monitoring, or reliability/maintenance software
  • Familiarity with asset-heavy industries such as general manufacturing, food & beverage, building materials, automotive, chemicals, logistics, or utilities
  • Prior success as a “specialist” or overlay AE selling a specific product line or solution area
  • Experience partnering with AI/ML or data science teams on customer-facing initiatives
What we offer:
  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity opportunities
  • Healthcare, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) / RRSP enrollment program
  • Take what you need PTO
  • A Work Culture where: You’ll work alongside folks across the globe that reflect the MaintainX values, Smart Humble Optimist
  • We believe in meritocracy, where ideas and effort are publicly celebrated
