Job Description:

Responsible for managing large group and catering opportunities; focuses on driving revenue and customer loyalty; collaborates with stakeholders to develop business opportunities; provides excellent customer service to build relationships

Job Responsibility:

Proactively soliciting and managing large group/catering related opportunities
managing group/catering opportunities not handled by an Event Booking Center (EBC)
up-selling business opportunities to maximize revenue
achieving personal and team-related revenue goals
verifying timely turnover for proper service delivery
driving customer/guest loyalty by delivering service excellence
handling complex business with significant revenue and customer expectations
developing relationships within the community
designing, developing and selling creative catered events

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
2 years experience in the sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area
2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
no work experience required

Nice to have:

Ability to develop effective group/catering sales plans and actions
knowledge of market opportunities, competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
negotiation skills
creative selling abilities
ability to execute exemplary customer service
