As an Account Director at Three Cheers, you understand how bevalc works and have strongly contributed to integrated campaigns for alcohol brands and brands in other lifestyle-centric categories. You sit at the hub of your accounts, managing or monitoring key aspects of integrated campaigns that span earned and paid media, social media, influencer marketing, brand collaborations, internally produced content, brand activations, in collaboration with our in-house expert practitioners in those specialty areas. You are also taking on more of a leadership role and beginning to embrace the bigger, more strategic picture of client campaigns and other programming. You are building a stronger relationship with clients, establishing yourself as a more senior point person who possesses a solid grasp of their business and communications objectives. You are honing your presentation skills with clients and in new business pitches. You artfully combine your nose for details, deadline-driven approach, and high standards to produce results with a new level of creativity in your work and strategy in your thinking.
Job Responsibility:
Build and maintain strong relationships with lifestyle media that cover alcohol brands and products and closely related topics, spanning food, men’s and women’s interest, general interest, travel, retail, business and trade
Lead well-considered media outreach efforts and plans to guide your team to success in securing coverage with a focus, quality and reach
Prepare spokespeople for media opportunities, including drafting talking points, briefing documents and prep calls
Monitor media landscapes and identify reactive and proactive brand-appropriate opportunities, including newsjacking, trend-driven pitches and timely commentary
Act as a team liaison between junior staff and senior managers, adeptly managing both up and down to ensure your team is in synch and in harmony
Apply your strong, well-proven media skills to develop and execute high-impact, creative strategies that capture national media attention for your clients
Drive day-to-day activities, revealing your project management acumen, assigning initiatives to junior staff, and ensuring output meets your gold standard, with deadlines fastidiously met and results exceeding expectations
Serve as an inspiring role model, igniting the growth of junior staff, helping them refine their skills and take on new challenges so they are poised for promotion
Requirements:
5-8 years of consumer PR experience, preferably in an agency setting and for national brands, having worked on a minimum of three alcohol brands
Proven ability to build relationships with media and secure earned media coverage
Strong writing skills with experience developing press releases, pitches, and client materials
Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Experience supporting and executing media relations initiatives and activations
Collaborative team ethic with a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to evolving client needs
