Job Description:

We are looking for a strategic and commercially driven Account Director to lead high-growth client accounts, oversee delivery excellence, and unlock long-term business opportunities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Account development
  • Client Services & Growth Strategy: Setting ambitious growth targets and leading client services strategy. Developing and executing account plans, leveraging client insight, stakeholder management, and reporting to drive upselling. Leading pitches, proposals, and scoping for new opportunities
  • Reporting & Client Management: Communicating the value of our work and the value of social media to clients. Identifying opportunities to add more impact and keeping clients informed on agency developments, thought leadership, and industry trends
  • Client Communication: Overseeing all client communication, but focusing in on communication about mid-to-long-term business and marketing plans. Organising key meetings and quarterly reviews, and proactively resolve delivery or client issues. Recognising and resolving delivery or client issues or lack of results
  • Account Leadership
  • Team Communication: Ensuring to keep the team updated on client communication to inform upcoming account plans and driving commercial awareness across the team. Ensuring the team is communicating and operating effectively together
  • Quality of work: Build and lead high-performing account teams, driving collaboration and commercial awareness. Inspiring excellence, and ensuring work meets client strategic goals and our highest standards
  • Project Management
  • Scope Management: Ensuring accurate delivery of scope of work using time tracking, ensuring deliverables are of high quality and all deadlines are met. Recognising and resolving any scope or resourcing issues and leading on new resourcing requests
  • Collaboration: Working closely with Social Media Managers to manage Creative & Paid Media Manager briefs and deadlines and sign off on all deliverables. Establishing strong lines of communication to share progress updates
  • Commercial Management
  • Delivery: Responsible for the commercial management of scopes ensuring we meet a healthy account contribution for each of your accounts based on its scope. Managing the scoping & planning processes within our agency management software and ensuring resource requests are made in a timely manner to support growth opportunities
  • Reporting: Ensuring scopes are input accurately and controlling the performance of these scopes. Delivering regular reports on tracked vs scoped time and account contribution to account finance teams respectively

Requirements:

  • In-depth years of experience in a Client Services role within an agency environment
  • Strong understanding of social-first delivery, including strategy, creative, media, and account management
  • Skilled in project management and client services principles, with experience mentoring or developing others
  • Experienced in the commercial management of accounts, including profitability and scope oversight
  • Proven track record of retaining, developing, and growing client accounts
  • Passionate about enhancing client experience and building strong, lasting relationships
  • Ideally, experience working with global brands
  • Demonstrated success in driving account growth, upselling, and leading successful pitches
  • Confident in stakeholder management, engaging with senior client decision-makers
  • Proactive problem solver with a solutions-focused mindset and strong attention to detail
  • Passionate about social media, marketing trends, and delivering measurable impact
