Job Description

As an Account Director, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and long-term retention across our portfolio of podcast publishers by owning high-value, complex relationships and translating business goals into scalable solutions. This role partners closely with Business Development, Technical Account Management, Product, Solution Engineers to expand platform adoption, unlock new monetization opportunities, and ensure clients are maximizing the value of our technology. Ultimately, you will be a force multiplier for our podcast partners—deepening publisher trust, accelerating growth, and strengthening our position as a strategic technology partner in the podcast ecosystem.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of high-value, complex client relationships to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to identify new business opportunities, expand existing relationships, and increase revenue
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet clients' needs and exceed their expectations
  • Analyze client data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and provide insights to inform account strategy
  • Negotiate renewals and/or new deals with clients, ensuring profitable and mutually beneficial agreements
  • Serve as a strategic member of the Podcast Business team
  • Work closely with cross-functional internal teams such as Business Development, Technical Account Management, Product, Solution Engineers
  • Coach project owners through duration of a project or work plan
  • Help apply pressure or escalation when needed to outside stakeholders or teams to drive the project forward
  • Use knowledge of process and tools to communicate, discuss, promote business successes/wins and issues/ needs within the department and to various stakeholders
  • Use depth of domain expertise to anticipate changes to technology/process and prepare the team to adapt
  • Explore new technologies outside of day-to-day role and build roadmap for implementing new technology into the workflow
  • Anticipate cross-functional communication issues and address effectively within own team and cross-functionally
  • Lead strategic discussions with cross-functional teams and upper management.

Requirements

  • 8+ years experience in account management, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in managing complex client relationships
  • In-depth knowledge of the advertising industry and complimenting technologies, including market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to drive revenue growth and increase customer satisfaction through strategic account planning and execution
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and develop a deep understanding of complex products and services, enabling you to confidently position solutions and advise clients on their business impact
  • Proficient knowledge of Outlook, Slack, Jira, Google Office Suite
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment in complex or sensitive situations while maintaining strong, trust-based relationships
  • Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini, etc
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
