Viant’s Healthcare business is expanding rapidly, with pharmaceutical and life sciences brands increasingly leveraging programmatic technology to engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients responsibly. We are seeking an Account Director, Healthcare & Pharma to lead this next phase of growth by building brand-direct partnerships, expanding agency influence, and driving adoption of Viant’s privacy-compliant data, targeting, and measurement solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic, solutions-oriented leader who understands the complexities of regulated healthcare marketing. You’ll collaborate with Product, Business Development, Marketing, and Data Strategy teams to bring innovative, compliant advertising solutions to market—positioning Viant as the preferred DSP for pharmaceutical advertisers.

  • Champion Viant’s privacy-first approach, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and industry standards for data activation and measurement
  • Represent Viant at healthcare and pharma marketing events, driving thought leadership and brand visibility
  • Brand-First Demand Generation & Agency Influence
  • Develop and grow brand-direct relationships with leading pharmaceutical marketers while partnering with agencies to drive DSP adoption
  • Build go-to-market strategies that emphasize precision targeting, CTV innovation, and compliant omnichannel activation for both DTC and HCP campaigns
  • Collaborate with healthcare media agencies and holding company partners to ensure Viant remains the platform of choice for pharma programmatic investment
  • Product & Business Development Collaboration
  • Partner with Business Development to identify strategic data, measurement, and supply partners that enhance Viant’s pharmaceutical marketing capabilities
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and Data teams to refine Viant’s HCP and patient-targeting solutions, leveraging advanced identity and AI-driven optimization tools
  • Align measurement frameworks to pharmaceutical marketing objectives—supporting outcomes such as prescription lift, HCP engagement, and brand awareness

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of advertising experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years in pharmaceutical or healthcare marketing (brand-direct, agency, or adtech)
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical marketing ecosystem, including HCP and DTC channels, data compliance, and industry regulations
  • Proven success driving programmatic adoption among pharma marketers and agencies
  • Experience managing enterprise-level relationships and negotiating MSAs within the adtech or digital media space
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with the ability to translate complex regulatory and business challenges into creative media solutions
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a talent for influencing senior stakeholders and educating clients on emerging technologies
  • Collaborative, self-starter mentality with a passion for innovation and measurable impact
