Job Description
The Account Director, Global Sales UAE manages and/or provides dedicated support to a targeted portfolio of complex GSO corporate accounts. The position builds and maintains business relationships with key buying influences in order to achieve account market share goals across all Marriott Lodging brands. The primary focus is on opportunities to increase preference and loyalty and improve the overall buying process by emphasizing an ‘ease of doing business with Marriott’. In the role of Account Director, Global Sales UAE this position has direct accountability for transactional sales activities within their assigned accounts.
Job Responsibility
Manage and provide dedicated support to a targeted portfolio of complex GSO corporate accounts
Build and maintain business relationships with key buying influences
Increase preference and loyalty and improve overall buying process
Lead both Global and EMEA Accounts and relevant account teams
Proactively solicit both transient and group business for all brands, all hotels globally
Create a 12-month Strategic account plan (SAPP)
Report confirmed business and activity on a weekly basis
Develop and guide an account team
Ensure smooth co-ordination of the annual RFP process
Support Director Global Sales, Corporate to deliver sales and operational excellence
Requirements
5+ years sales and marketing experience required
Total Account Management experience preferred
Hospitality sales experience preferred
Excellent verbal, numerical and analytical ability
