Viant’s CPG business is growing, with enterprise and mid-market brands adopting our DSP through agency relationships. We are now seeking an Account Director, CPG to further accelerate our growth in this category by scaling brand-direct demand, expanding agency adoption, and strengthening our position as a leader in targeting and measurement solutions. In this role you will lead the next phase of growth in one of the most complex and high-potential categories in programmatic advertising.

Job Responsibility:

  • Accelerate Viant’s CPG Growth
  • Grow and scale Viant’s CPG footprint by expanding direct brand relationships in the Food, Beverage, Personal Care, and Home Care categories
  • Establish Viant as the premier programmatic solution for the CPG category by evangelizing our DSP differentiators across AI, targeting, measurement, insights, and identity solutions
  • Drive greater industry awareness through thought leadership, conference participation, and client education
  • Brand-First Demand Generation & Agency Influence
  • Own and grow brand-direct demand while also supporting the core sales team in driving agency adoption across the CPG category
  • Develop and execute a brand-first strategy that ensures Viant is in the consideration set for DSP adoption across leading enterprise CPG brands
  • Partner with agency teams to help them navigate the evolving programmatic landscape for CPGs and ensure Viant is the platform of choice
  • Product & Business Development
  • Collaborate with Business Development to identify key data, measurement, and supply partnerships that strengthen Viant’s CPG offering
  • Ensure Viant’s measurement solutions align with CPG best practices and help clients drive enterprise value for their brands

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of advertising experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years in collaborating with CPG marketers (brand-direct, agency, or vendor side experience)
  • Expertise in CPG, preferably in a brand-direct capacity
  • Deep understanding of programmatic advertising (CTV, Streaming Audio, Online Video, Display, DOOH, and Mobile) and how it applies to brands
  • A proven track record of building brand-direct relationships and scaling programmatic adoption
  • Self starter with experience closing large MSAs in adtech, programmatic, or digital media
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, business development, and marketing teams
  • Strong analytical and strategic mindset, with the ability to translate industry challenges into advertising solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to evangelize to Viant’s leadership in programmatic advertising
