Job Responsibility

Performs daily accounts payable activities such as maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports
Responsible for preparing all payables and completing all standard operating procedures as required

calls department for proper information and or data regarding invoice payments
Facilitates the payment process by ensuring all required documentation is accompanied with the payment request

Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States
General Experience: SIX (6) MONTHS of work experience which demonstrated knowledge of arithmetic and spelling, and the ability to follow oral and written directions, write simply and directly, and observe differences in words and numbers quickly and accurately
Specialized Experience: TWO (2) YEARS of work involved in posting to accounting records and other systematizing of fiscal information

This work must have involved reconciling accounts (i.e., checking for errors, balancing, and going back to original source document for verification)
and the preparation of balance sheets and income statements or financial and/or accounting reports
Supervisory Aptitude: Some positions require that applicants possess supervisory aptitude. Supervisory aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects
by serving as a group or team leader, or in similar work in which opportunities for demonstrating supervisory capabilities exist
