University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an experienced administrator with a passion for student support to join our Accommodation Service team. This is a vital and rewarding role at the heart of the student experience. Our Accommodation Services team provides a wide range of support to students, including managing applications and contracts for halls of residence, overseeing rent collection, offering advice on student housing and private renting, and arranging temporary summer accommodation.
Job Responsibility:
Providing professional, friendly and responsive support to both current and prospective students
Assisting the team with day-to-day administration
Updating rotas and templates
Maintaining systems, processes and management information
Ensuring services remain organised, efficient and effective
Regular contact with students, staff, and external stakeholders through email, phone, social media, online messaging, and in-person interactions
Requirements:
Proven experience in administration support
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Background in the higher education sector, preferably with student accommodation or student facing services experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Customer-focused approach
Strong IT skills, familiarity with Excel, Outlook and the wider Microsoft Office suite
Confidence in using social media platforms
Experience in using software such as Kinetic, Flywire, WPM and SITS is preferable
Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check required
