Job Description

The Access Services Representative 2 collects accurate demographics and insurance information to register patients. They verify insurance benefits and collect patient financial responsibilities. Passionately cross-trains and works in all assigned areas. Serves as a mentor or trainer for peers.

  • escalates potential service issues to management
  • adhere to compliance for order validation, cash policy, government payor, and patient safety requirements
  • conducts formal, documented training
  • proactively accepts new responsibilities
  • performs revenue cycle duties at multiple areas/locations as assigned

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • 2 Years of Experience
  • 2 years of healthcare or customer service experience or education equivalency required
  • good listening, interpersonal and communication skills

  • maintain a professional demeanor in a stressful and emotional environment
  • high empathy and communicate well with patients and families
  • ability to manage multiple, changing priorities
