Reporting organisationally to the Access Management Senior Manager Operations, the Access Management Regional Manager will be a key member of the FIFA26 Access Management team. They will be responsible for developing and implementing the Access Management operations for all the official venues across the tournament within their designated region, in line with Access Management policies and procedures. The West Region in the USA includes: Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco. Through close coordination with other Functional Area (FA) and venue managers, they ensure that the operations relating to the key movements of persons holding an access device into and within their official venues meet the requirements and provide efficient, safe, and well-planned ingress, circulation & egress. The Access Management Regional Manager will assist the Senior Manager Operations by supporting the Access Management Venue Managers in the preparation stages of the tournament and assume the position of Access Management Venue Manager of one of the stadiums in their region. They will ensure security personnel and other responsible staff are provided with the necessary information and tools to operate access control effectively at each required location.
Job Responsibility:
Oversight, training and support to the Access Management Venue Managers across all official venues including Stadia, Media and Broadcast Centres, Venue Specific Team Hotels, and Training Sites within their region
Implementation and operation of Access Management policies and procedures for accredited individuals in line with the accreditation and safety and security concepts for the tournament, including access control point setup and entitlement resolution
Planning and mapping of key client group flows, vertical transportation and ingress points onto venue maps and communication of flows and ingress points to all client groups via the provision of access tours, maps and briefings
Ensuring all client group flows, paths of travel, entrances and exits planned for people with disabilities and/or limited mobility meet FIFA and related local Accessibility standards and requirements
Provision of key wayfinding information as required to FIFA Dressing & Signage to ensure wayfinding on site is correct and as per all client group flows
Facilitate additional and exceptional access requirements onsite and assist all client groups with any access related issues
Ensuring all Functional Areas (FAs) at the venues can locate their working areas and know how to reach them, within the constraints of privilege zoning and restrictions
Ensuring all access staff and volunteers are trained and fully understand their roles and function and can perform the duties expected of them
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or similar level of higher education in IT & Systems, Sport Venue Management, Safety and Security or similar
Minimum experience of 2 years in the sport event industry, preferably within access management, accreditation, safety and security or venue management
Operation and setup of complex access control systems within ticketing and/or accreditation
Wayfinding and route planning in a stadium environment
Single-sport, multi-venue event experience
Management and leadership of a team in high pressure tournament operations
Demonstratable ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and under pressure
Fluent in English
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
Football (soccer) access management knowledge
Effective interpersonal communication, influencing and negotiation skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Stature and professional experience necessary to interact as tough partner with senior colleagues
Good judgement, superb integrity, maturity, and fairness in dealing with people
