Job Description:

Accelerate is a youth development program in either hospitality management or professional cookery that spans over 3 years. The Orientation year is for candidates to obtain realism of career choice and suitability for the industry before applying for the 3-year program. Trainees work in all different departments of the hotel to gain practical insight into hotel operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work in all different departments of the hotel
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

Requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen by birth
  • Must be between the ages of 18 and 22
  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate or equivalent accredited NQF or NCV Level 4 qualification
  • Must have passed all 7 Matric (Grade 12) subjects
  • Only applicants that do not have any post Matric / NQF 4 / NCV 4 qualifications will be considered
  • A year of practical working experience in a hotel

Nice to have:

Preferably each Matric subject must be achieved at 50% and higher
