Job Description:

Randstad UK is seeking experienced, dedicated, and passionate tutors to join our growing team across Sefton. As a tutor, you will provide high-quality, tailored tuition to students across various year groups, ranging from Key Stage 1 through to Post-16. We are looking for specialists in Maths, English, and Science who can deliver sessions in line with the current UK National Curriculum. Beyond academic achievement, you will play a pivotal role in building students' confidence, social skills, and long-term success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Tailored delivery: Deliver individualised tuition sessions in Maths, English, and/or Science, ensuring all content aligns with the National Curriculum
  • Diverse settings: Sessions take place on school premises, at students' homes, or within local community spaces such as libraries
  • Inclusion & SEN: Adapt your teaching methods to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring every session is accessible and inclusive
  • Mentorship: Form meaningful, long-term relationships with learners, offering the consistent encouragement they need to thrive
  • Progress tracking: Maintain clear and professional communication with families and schools regarding student development and areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise: Significant experience in tutoring or teaching Maths, English, or Science
  • Curriculum knowledge: A thorough understanding of the current UK National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Adaptability: Experience working with students with SEN and the ability to differentiate your approach
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire young people
  • Vetting: A DBS check on the Update Service is essential, or a willingness to apply for one prior to commencing work
