We are looking for dedicated Academic Tutors to deliver high-quality, 1:1 or small-group sessions in Maths, English, and Science. This is more than just teaching; it is about building a meaningful connection. You will work with students from Year 1 through to Post-16, delivering curriculum-aligned support that focuses on both academic success and the development of vital social skills.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver engaging sessions in core subjects (Maths, English, and/or Science) in line with the current UK National Curriculum.
Develop and implement bespoke lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
Adapt your approach for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring learning is accessible and inclusive for all.
Foster a positive environment that builds a student's self-esteem and social development.
Maintain consistent contact with families to report on progress and celebrate 'small wins.'
Requirements:
Proven Experience: A track record of delivering effective tuition in core academic subjects.
Curriculum Knowledge: A strong, up-to-date understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
SEN Expertise: Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
Relationship Builders: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners.
Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one immediately).
