Are you passionate about helping students overcome academic hurdles and find their confidence? We are looking for dedicated Academic Tutors to deliver high-quality, 1:1 or small-group sessions in Maths, English, and Science. This is more than just teaching; it is about building a meaningful connection. You will work with students from Year 1 through to Post-16, delivering curriculum-aligned support that focuses on both academic success and the development of vital social skills.
Job Responsibility:
Curriculum Excellence: Deliver engaging sessions in core subjects (Maths, English, and/or Science) in line with the current UK National Curriculum
Personalised Planning: Develop and implement bespoke lesson plans that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of each student
Inclusive Education: Adapt your approach for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring learning is accessible and inclusive for all
Holistic Support: Foster a positive environment that builds a student's self-esteem and social development
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain consistent contact with families to report on progress and celebrate 'small wins'
Requirements:
Proven Experience: A track record of delivering effective tuition in core academic subjects
Curriculum Knowledge: A strong, up-to-date understanding of the UK National Curriculum
SEN Expertise: Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs
Relationship Builders: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire young learners
Compliance: An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one immediately)
