Job Description:

Randstad Student & Worker Support is seeking a dedicated Academic Support Worker for the University of Bath. We are committed to fostering a positive and supportive academic environment, offering you the chance to learn, grow, and make a significant difference in students' lives. You will provide crucial note-taking support to students with disabilities or mental health conditions, ensuring they have access to accurate and accessible lecture and seminar notes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing clear and legible handwritten notes for lectures, seminars, and tutorials
  • Reviewing notes after sessions to ensure they are in an optimal format for student access
  • Maintaining a professional demeanour and relationship with the student
  • Acting in the best interest of learners while adhering to institutional policies

Requirements:

  • Neat and legible handwriting
  • Excellent typing, spelling, and grammar skills
  • Punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work efficiently
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • A degree is required

Nice to have:

Previous experience supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties in higher or further education
