Job Description:

A leading secondary school located in Lambeth, London, is seeking an Academic Support Officer for an ASAP start. This school focuses on improving the life chances and raising aspirations of young people, emphasizing that anything is possible with dedication and effort. Your role will involve providing academic and behavioral support to students, liaising with families, promoting well-being, and maintaining links with support services.

Job Responsibility:

Second point of contact after Form Tutors for students and parents related to the Academy Behaviour Management Policy
Prioritise issues arising from contacts with students and parents to minimise disruption to learning
Support personal, social, and academic development of students and promote their well-being within each Key Stage
Maintain links with home, internal, and external support services involved with student welfare and safety
Support teachers covering lessons where necessary

Requirements:

Degree or professional qualification
Good written & oral skills
Ideally previous experience within the role, but this is not essential
Knowledge of career paths and/or higher education & willingness to learn more
Must be able to motivate & inspire the younger generation
