Job Description:

Academic Support Officer role at a leading secondary school in Wandsworth, London. Opportunity to join a flourishing school that places huge emphasis on improving life chances and raising aspirations of young people. The school believes anything is possible for students if they put their heart and mind into their goals.

Job Responsibility:

Second point of contact after Form Tutors for students and parents
Support day-to-day working of Academy Behaviour Management Policy
Prioritise issues arising from contacts with students and parents to minimise disruption to pupils' learning
Support personal social and academic development of students
Promote student well-being within each Key Stage
Maintain links with home, internal and external support services involved with student welfare and safety
Support teachers covering lessons where necessary

Requirements:

1:1 or 2:1 degree from a reputable university
Good written & oral skills
Knowledge of career paths and higher education and willingness to learn more
Must be able to motivate & inspire the younger generation

Nice to have:

Ideally previous experience within the role
Perfect vacancy for Aspiring Counsellors, Therapists, Psychologists or Mental Health professionals
