Job Description:

Academic Support Officer position at a leading secondary school in Barnet, London, focused on bridging the learning gap and inspiring young people. The role involves supporting students' academic and personal development, managing behavior policies, and maintaining communication with parents and support services.

Job Responsibility:

Second point of contact after Form Tutors for students and parents
Support day to day working of the Academy Behaviour Management Policy
Prioritise issues arising from contacts with students and parents to minimise disruption to learning
Support personal social and academic development of students
Promote student well-being within each Key Stage
Maintain links with home, internal and external support services involved with student welfare and safety
Support teachers covering lessons where necessary

Requirements:

Degree or professional qualification
Good written & oral skills
Knowledge of career paths and/or higher education & willingness to learn more
Must be able to motivate & inspire the younger generation

Nice to have:

Ideally previous experience within the role
Perfect vacancy for Aspiring Counsellors, Therapists, Psychologists or Mental Health professionals
