Job Description:

Academic Support Officer role at a leading secondary school in Barnet, London. The position focuses on bridging the learning gap and inspiring the next generation, with emphasis on improving life chances and raising aspirations of young students.

Job Responsibility:

Second point of contact after Form Tutors for students and parents
Prioritize issues arising from contacts with students and parents to minimize disruption to pupils learning
Support personal social and academic development of students
Promote student well-being within each Key Stage
Assist in maintaining links with home, internal and external support services involved with student welfare and safety
Support teachers covering lessons where necessary

Requirements:

Degree or professional qualification
Good written & oral skills
Knowledge of career paths and/or higher education & willingness to learn more
Must be able to motivate & inspire the younger generation

Nice to have:

Previous experience within the role
