Job Description:

COMSOL is seeking an Academic Outreach Associate, a dynamic and motivated individual who can drive COMSOL’s growth and adoption within the academic community and organizations in India. This role requires building strong relationships, supporting integration into teaching, research, and ensuring impactful academic engagement through strategic initiatives and collaborations with organizations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the growth and adoption of COMSOL within the academic community and organizations in India
  • Identify opportunities and engage with key stakeholders in universities, research institutes, and funding agencies
  • Build and maintain relationships with faculty, researchers, and student communities to drive engagement
  • Support training, upskilling, and certification initiatives for students and faculty members
  • Represent COMSOL professionally by organizing and leading academic events, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions to showcase its capabilities
  • Ensure timely follow-up and project tracking with institutions to maintain engagement momentum
  • Support the integration of COMSOL into teaching, research, and curriculum development programs
  • Develop curriculum resources, marketing materials, case studies, and success stories showcasing COMSOL’s impact
  • Provide insights and feedback to guide licensing strategies and academic engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams like technical, sales, and marketing to design and deliver impactful academic engagement plans
  • Monitor and analyze adoption trends, providing data-driven recommendations for strategic planning
  • Maintain detailed documentation of outreach activities, ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes

Requirements:

  • B.Tech. in Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in academic outreach, technical sales, curriculum development, or education technology (or equivalent experience in a research and academic role)
  • Strong understanding of engineering research and teaching workflows, with exposure to numerical modeling or simulation tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical and academic audiences
  • Current eligibility to work in India

Nice to have:

  • MBA with a focus on business, management, or related fields
  • Familiarity with COMSOL Multiphysics® or similar simulation software
  • Experience organizing academic events, workshops, or faculty development programs
  • Strong network within Indian academia, funding agencies
  • Experience creating technical marketing content (posters, brochures, success stories, social media campaigns)
