Academic-track faculty position to serve as Assistant or Associate Professor, Director of the Histocompatibility (HLA) Laboratory. The laboratory supports all solid-organ and bone marrow transplant programs at four hospitals of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, four external hospitals, and one OPO.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as Director of the Histocompatibility (HLA) Laboratory
Support solid-organ and bone marrow transplant programs
Engage in research (basic, clinical, and translational) and development
Pursue independent extramural funding
Teach medical students, residents, and fellows
Requirements:
M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree
Board-certified/eligible by the American College for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI)
Experience and training in a high-complexity ASHI-certified/eligible clinical laboratory supporting solid organ and bone marrow transplantation
Strong academic credentials
