Job Description:

The AC Technician will respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance on various hotel equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining tools and equipment, performing general maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to safety standards.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
carry equipment
identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
communicate each day’s activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
perform surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cleanup
test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment and plumbing
replace electrical components and program TVs
perform housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
use the Lockout/Tagout system
repair interior and exterior landscaping
demonstrate basic knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
driver’s license
