Job Description

We are seeking an Ab Initio Technical Lead who will design, develop, and implement advanced ETL components using the latest Ab Initio technologies. The role focuses on delivering strategic data integration solutions, collaborating with product owners and global teams, and supporting end‑to‑end solution design across major implementation programmes. The individual will also ensure adherence to quality standards and contribute to process improvements within the Software Engineering – BIBDA function.

Job Responsibility

  • Collaborate with the product owner and global teams to design and develop complex ETL components using advanced Ab Initio technologies
  • Lead or contribute to the definition, execution, and communication of ETL strategies and technical solution approaches
  • Develop data staging layers, data architectures, and integrations with internal and external applications
  • Manage detailed functional designs and end‑to‑end implementation activities using advanced Ab Initio features such as GDE, EME, Control Centre, Continuous Flows, ICFFs, Metadata Hub, Express>It, Micrographs, Web Services, MDW Framework and Data Quality Assessment
  • Produce comprehensive low‑level design documentation and functional mappings
  • Contribute to process optimisation, tool adoption, and quality improvements within the Service Line

Requirements

  • Possess extensive knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts
  • Bring strong hands‑on development experience using advanced Ab Initio tools and technologies
  • Skilled in SQL, UNIX/Linux, and scripting
  • Experienced in creating high‑level design documentation and leading end‑to‑end solution implementation
  • Have relevant experience of 5–8 years and exposure to telecommunications environments
  • Hold a B.E., B.Tech, MCA, or M.Sc qualification
