We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Abacus Finance and Power BI Specialist to join our team at LGT Financial Services AG. This role will be crucial in supporting our financial reporting and analysis functions, with a particular focus on leveraging Abacus financial / controlling solutions and developing insightful Power BI dashboards.
Job Responsibility
Abacus System Management: Administer, maintain, and optimize the Abacus regulatory reporting system
Data Extraction and Transformation: Extract, transform, and load financial data from various source systems into Abacus and other reporting platforms
Report Generation and Validation: Generate statutory and internal financial reports using Abacus and MS PowerBI
Power BI Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
Data Analysis and Insights: Conduct in-depth financial data analysis
Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement improvements in data management, reporting processes, and system functionalities
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with finance, risk, IT, and other relevant departments
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for Abacus configurations, Power BI reports, data models, and reporting processes
User Support and Training: Provide support and training to end-users on Abacus and Power BI functionalities
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with financial data, reporting, and analysis in the financial services industry
Proven hands-on experience with Abacus is essential
Strong proficiency in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, including data modeling (DAX), report creation, and data visualization best practices
Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Expertise in Abacus reporting software
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, data modeling)
Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables)
Strong understanding of financial products, accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), and financial reporting standards
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy
Fluency in English is required
Nice to have
Master's degree is a plus
Familiarity with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView) is a plus
Knowledge of banking regulations (e.g., Basel III, CRR) is highly desirable
German language skills are a significant advantage
