In order to support airframe engineering, Airbus is looking for a A350 Moveables Stress Responsible / LED Re-Insourcing (d/f/m). Are you passionate about analysing structure? Are you interested in light weight structure, bringing knowledge as well as willingness to continuously develop your expertise? As a Stress Responsible within the high lift perimeter you will provide a significant contribution to the safety and reliability of our aircraft components. This demands technical knowledge in the field of metallic and composite structure stress analysis, a high sense for responsibility and integrity and relation management inside and outside our team. The Wing Moveables department is a diverse team responsible for structure components generating lift during take off and landing, as are slats and flaps. We ensure the certification of our components with respect to aviation regulations, we support the constant improvement of our products, and we ensure the in-service safety. Furthermore, we enable the integration of Moveables Components into the Wing. We are analysing static strength, fatigue performance as well as damage tolerance and Particular Risk. This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.
Job Responsibility:
Analyze and Validate composite & hybrid structures for static & fatigue strength according to validated methods
Ensure adherence to airworthiness regulations, relevant design principles, processes, methods and manufacturing capabilities guidelines
Define, interpret and validate tests. Interface and communicate with relevant stakeholders
Provide relevant input to design for the creation of drawings for manufacture and support to other functions (i.e. production, customer support,... ) as needed
Provide stress analysis for the repair/acceptance of damaged structures
Perform monitoring/guidance/support of Sub-contracting firms providing structure analysis work
Management and surveillance of suppliers with respect to structure analyses
Guidance and knowledge transfer to early careers and stakeholders
Requirements:
University degree in aerospace engineering, technical mechanics, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or comparable
Minimum 5 years of experience in stress analysis in the aerospace industry
Knowledge of finite element analysis
Experience with NASTRAN and Hyperworks
Good knowledge of aircraft metallic and composite structure stress analysis
Motivation to contribute to a positive team spirit and overall team performance
Ability to communicate effectively on various levels of hierarchy (peers, stakeholder, early careers)
English on negotiation level
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Airbus specific tools and already proven DOA delegation
Experience in Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis
German language skills
