Job Responsibility:

  • Audio Setup and Operation: Set up, test, and operate audio equipment for live events, including microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, and playback devices
  • Sound Quality Management: Ensure optimal sound quality during events by adjusting audio levels, equalization, and other parameters as needed
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve audio issues during events to minimize disruptions
  • Collaboration: Work closely with event coordinators, production teams, and other staff to understand audio requirements and deliver exceptional audio experiences
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain audio equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform routine checks and repairs as needed
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and clients regarding audio equipment and setups
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of audio setups, configurations, and equipment inventory
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and guests

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an A1 Audio Engineer or similar role in a hospitality or events setting
  • Proficiency in operating audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, Dante Network management, and playback devices
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong ear for sound quality and precision
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly resolve technical issues
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and audio editing software is a plus
  • A degree or certification in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred
