Job Responsibility:
Audio Setup and Operation: Set up, test, and operate audio equipment for live events, including microphones, speakers, mixing consoles, and playback devices
Sound Quality Management: Ensure optimal sound quality during events by adjusting audio levels, equalization, and other parameters as needed
Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve audio issues during events to minimize disruptions
Collaboration: Work closely with event coordinators, production teams, and other staff to understand audio requirements and deliver exceptional audio experiences
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain audio equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Perform routine checks and repairs as needed
Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and clients regarding audio equipment and setups
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of audio setups, configurations, and equipment inventory
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff and guests
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an A1 Audio Engineer or similar role in a hospitality or events setting
Proficiency in operating audio equipment, including mixing consoles, microphones, speakers, Dante Network management, and playback devices
Excellent attention to detail with a strong ear for sound quality and precision
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly resolve technical issues
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules
Nice to have:
Familiarity with digital audio workstations (DAWs) and audio editing software is a plus
A degree or certification in audio engineering, sound design, or a related field is preferred
