Job Description:

The A/V Technician at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort & Convention Hotel is responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, inspecting equipment, and conducting general maintenance tasks in compliance with safety procedures and company standards. The role emphasizes teamwork, guest interaction, and professional behavior in a dynamic hotel setting.

Job Responsibility:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping and sprinklers
test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items
perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
follow company safety policies and procedures
develop and maintain positive working relationships with others
move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

Respond and attend to guest repair requests
perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues
identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and buildings
maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills
perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, and other guestroom items
basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules
follow company safety policies and procedures
move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
driver's license required.

Nice to have:

Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
