Job Description

Robert Half is currently seeking an A/V Technician for a client located in Orange County, CA. This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day audio/visual support, event setup, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, onsite environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring conference rooms, events, and AV systems run smoothly for internal teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide daily support for AV systems, including monitoring, basic troubleshooting, and triaging issues for end users
  • Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment for meetings, events, and presentations
  • Support conference rooms by ensuring AV equipment (displays, microphones, speakers, cameras) is functioning properly
  • Respond quickly to urgent AV issues and provide break/fix support as needed
  • Help maintain and organize AV equipment, ensuring systems are ready for use
  • Assist with ongoing AV projects and upgrades under the guidance of senior team members
  • Support video conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and similar platforms
  • Collaborate with team members and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Gain exposure to advanced AV technologies such as video walls, multi-camera setups, and modern AV systems

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience or coursework in AV support, live events, or conference room technology
  • Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet)
  • Basic understanding of AV equipment such as microphones, speakers, displays, and cabling
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn on the job
  • Ability to work onsite and handle occasional high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
  • Good communication and customer service skills

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting corporate events, meetings, or conference rooms
  • Exposure to AV systems such as Crestron, Q-SYS, Shure, or similar technologies
  • Interest in AV, media production, or live event technology
