Are you looking for an opportunity to grow and thrive within a financial role? Robert Half has partnered with one of their reputable clients on their search for a A/R & Collections Manager with strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to assess credit risk. As the A/R & Collections Manager you will oversee credit policies and collections processes, create and develop credit and collection programs that ensure accurate and timely collection on all outstanding client invoices while also creating avenues for cash flow, review customer contracts, maintain internal budget targets, and oversee the accounts receivable department. In this role, the candidate must possess strong communication skills, have a strong background in credit analysis, risk assessment, excellent analytical skills, and outstanding leadership capabilities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee daily credit and collection activities
  • Generate and analyze A/R metrics and collection performance reports
  • Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past due accounts
  • Establish credit limits and review customer creditworthiness
  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies to improve working capital
  • Resolve complex billing and collection issues
  • Work closely with the accounting team during month-end close
  • Provide coaching, training and performance feedback to collections staff

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years managing a 6+ person Collections and AR Team
  • Construction, manufacturing or some other project-based industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel
  • Strong understanding of credit management and collections practices
