A&H Underwriter

• Execute strategy ensuring key performance indicators objectives are met & underwriting profitability is maintained
• Develop and implement an effective program to manage the portfolio of business underwritten to produce an underwriting profit
• Ensure all business is underwritten within guidelines
• Proactively review and source for new business
• Prepare for account renewal review within the required lead time agreed with the brokers
• Follow up on quotes and renewals
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and produce new products and/or packages to meet current or potential market needs
• Communicate to brokers on policy wordings and administrative/claims procedures and quality standards

• 3+ years of A&H Underwriting experience ideally
• Professional qualification such as ACII is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate underwriting risks
• Strong relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
