Job Responsibility

  • Provide emergency assessment, stabilisation and management of acute presentations
  • Deliver safe and effective patient care during night and weekend shifts

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain clear clinical documentation
  • Ensure appropriate escalation and patient transfer where required

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year NHS experience
  • Full AHPRA registration (or eligibility via competent authority pathway)
  • Strong Emergency Medicine experience
  • Ability to work independently overnight with off-site consultant support
  • Excellent communication and patient management skills

  • Daily tracking on hospitalized patients reviewing patient charts for additional data indicators, and completion of concurrent data abstraction
  • Coordinate with other program staff, departments, and agencies as needed to gather all data necessary to complete the abstraction on each patient
  • Clarify injury descriptions and detail when necessary from clinical providers to obtain accurate injury severity scoring and improve hospital reimbursement and resource allocation
