Job Description

Do you want to use your Biotechnology, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering background to turn coffee “waste” into high-value, sustainable ingredients? Kaffe Bueno is a Danish bioscience company that upcycles coffee by-products into innovative ingredients for personal care, nutrition, and more, all through green chemistry and biotechnology. Join us for a 6-month internship and help drive process development, raw material analysis, and product innovation in our coffee biorefinery.

Job Responsibility

  • Take part in lab work that supports process optimisation and new ingredient or product development from spent coffee grounds
  • Analyse raw materials and product samples using standard analytical techniques and document your results carefully
  • Prepare solutions and samples, help maintain lab equipment, and keep the lab running smoothly
  • Work closely with experienced scientists and engineers who will guide you in experimental design, data interpretation, and good lab practices

Requirements

  • You are studying or have recently graduated in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • You have some hands-on lab experience from courses, thesis work, or previous jobs
  • You are curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to learn new methods and technologies
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on sustainability and circular solutions
