4-Colour Web Offset Print Operator

• Ensure that daily/nightly printing output meets production deadlines, targets and quality expectations
• Operate within a pressroom team environment, demonstrating good teamwork and flexibility
• Adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced production setting
• Maintain a high level of awareness and understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities
• Work as part of a rotational shift pattern

• A recognised apprenticeship and qualification in printing
• Experience of 4 colour web offset printing
• Experience operating state-of-the-art KBA Colora presses
• A fundamental knowledge of quality images
• Experience in setting 4 colour and mono to specified densities and optimum quality
• The ability to work under pressure and an understanding of the time‑critical nature of newspaper production
• A detailed working knowledge and understanding of colour printing processes is essential
• Good teamwork and flexibility
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Willingness to work on a rotational shift pattern
• Good awareness and understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities
