The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for directing activities such as adjustments and repairs that maintains equipment and facilities to operate in the safest and most productive condition, supporting continuous improvement, production strategies and plant reliability of snack food equipment and building maintenance.
Job Responsibility:
Direct activities such as adjustments and repairs to maintain equipment and facilities
Ensure safe operation and compliance with regulatory programs and policies
Practice and comply with safety procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out, Arc Flash, Hot Work Permits
Follow good manufacturing practices
Maintain and use PPE
Attend training to maintain skills
Function as a lead person in a team environment
Interact with supervisors and management to coordinate shift activities
Direct team members in maintenance and repair
Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance
Support diagnosis and resolution of breakdowns
Analyze and resolve work problems using RCA, BDA, cause maps
Train new maintenance mechanics
Make improvements to maintenance program
Execute and document work findings via CMMS
Prepare written reports
Work with cross functional teams
Repair and install parts, tools, equipment
Interpret technical documents and diagrams
Assist with maintenance of facility systems
May facilitate training
May be back-up for planning and scheduling
May educate team on autonomous maintenance
May scope out new projects
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED with approved academic course in basic electrical, mechanical and electronics
minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing facility performing mechanical and electrical inspections, troubleshooting and repairs
or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid Driver's License
Must be Forklift certified or able to obtain forklift, aerial lifts certification
Ability to read and interpret technical documents
Experience with CMMS
Leadership and team coordination skills
Nice to have:
Formal technical school education with demonstrated aptitude and skills in mechanics, electrical, pneumatic, carpentry, plumbing, machining and welding techniques
five years of food manufacturing environment experience
Mechanical, electrical certifications/licenses
Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
