We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage accounting and settlement activities for Roaming, Interconnect, Content and MVNO business streams. The role involves managing revenue and cost accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and ensuring accurate settlements in line with contractual agreements and organisational controls.
Job Responsibility
Manage settlement of revenue and costs for local market partners across Roaming, Interconnect, Content and MVNO businesses
Validate costs with outsourced network partners and ensure accuracy of financial transactions
Prepare partner revenue payments and validate invoices
Reconcile partner payments and support receipt setup within local markets
Create invoices and credit notes for business partners
Prepare and post monthly revenue and cost journals
Deliver accurate and timely cash forecasts
Ensure all invoicing, accounting, and reconciliations activities meet defined monthly schedules
Perform month-end and year-end close activities with accuracy and within timelines
Manage intercompany accounts payable and receivable, ensuring balance agreements are signed off monthly
Design and strengthen controls aligned with local market margin policies
Ensure adherence to system rules, authority levels, and service level agreements
Provide timely reporting of cost, revenue, and disputes, ensuring resolution as per contract terms
Collaborate with third-party partners for invoicing, collections, and dispute management
Engage with local market leadership and internal stakeholders to meet business expectations
Ensure all processes meet approval standards, maintain integrity, and follow best practices
Support Procure-to-Pay processes and ensure compliance with documented requirements
Take ownership of day-to-day operational issues and resolve them effectively
Identify opportunities to improve, simplify, and standardise processes
Contribute innovative ideas to enhance operational efficiency and team performance
Requirements
Graduate or Post-Graduate in Commerce
1–3 years of experience in revenue and cost accounting, including month-end journals or similar processes
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
Experience in reporting, MIS, and analytical tasks
Knowledge of the Australian telecom industry is desirable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Proactive, responsible, and solution-focused approach
Adaptable and able to perform in a dynamic work environment
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
Nice to have
Knowledge of the Australian telecom industry is desirable
