Job Description

3rd Assistant Meat Manager is responsible for assisting the Meat Manager in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities and operations of the department when Meat Manager is not available. Responsible for effectively merchandising products by keeping products fresh and presentable, and rotating and replenishing full service and self-service displays. Monitors and ensures that products are properly stored, and temperatures meet requirements according to Health Department Regulations. Also responsible for smiling and greeting all customers while delivering extraordinary customer service and responds to customers’ requests, to meet the goals and objectives of the department.

  • Assisting the Meat Manager in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities and operations of the department when Meat Manager is not available
  • Effectively merchandising products by keeping products fresh and presentable, and rotating and replenishing full service and self-service displays
  • Monitoring and ensuring that products are properly stored, and temperatures meet requirements according to Health Department Regulations
  • Smiling and greeting all customers while delivering extraordinary customer service and responds to customers’ requests, to meet the goals and objectives of the department

  • Must be able to work in refrigerated coolers and around humidity for short periods of time
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
  • Must have 2 years of experience in meat department
  • Basic operational use of standard office equipment (i.e. computer, printer/fax, etc.)
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
