Technical expertise to troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical equipment
Hands-on DYIer eager to work on state of the art printers

Ability to interpret technical issues from non-technical explanation

Job Responsibility

Build and modify prototypes of next generations 3D printers and accessory equipment
Fabricate / machine high quality mechanical parts in rapid fashion
Perform Board level rework on PCB assemblies
Create or modify custom electrical cabling
Inspect parts via CMM, calipers, micrometers, multimeters
Set up and perform engineering tests
Create and present various reports

High school diploma required
Preferred experience in 3D printed part post-processing or machining activities, or equivalent education and experience
Experience with various 3D printing technologies such as SLA, DLS, DLP, PolyJet, and FFF is advantageous
Proficiency in CAD software is desired
Organizational skills with a focus on meeting quick turnaround times while ensuring accuracy
Openness to explore new techniques related to 3D Printing & Prototyping

Job Responsibility

Clean 3D printed parts following standard operating procedures
Hand finish 3D printed parts while maintaining feature geometry and checking tolerances on key dimensions
Use precision measurement devices like digital calipers and GOM to ensure dimensional accuracy
Operate 3D printing equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure timely prototype production
View model files using CAD software (e.g., Magics by Materialize) to maintain proficiency
Manage finishing supplies in the laboratory and evaluate new techniques and equipment for improved part finishing
Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices, BDTI Safety, and Quality Standards, including maintaining a laboratory notebook
Wear appropriate safety equipment as required
Contribute to R&D activities for 3D printing applications under the direction of the 3D Printing & Prototyping Manager
