If you’re a 3D game artist freshly graduated from university or academies without any work experience, this paid internship position is aimed at you! If you’re proficient with Unity and Blender, or other 3D modeling softwares, you’ve made some projects in private on within your academic years and you want to try to work on VR application and games, continue to read!
Job Responsibility:
Work on a main project, a VR experimental game, using Unity and Meta Quest 2 / 3
Do research, concept, level design and art development while committing to deadlines and adhering to the project’s vision
Help on small activities on other’s projects, be it analyzing, 3D modeling, lighting or optimizing assets, or experimenting with Reflectis, our immersive development platform
Be responsible for the artistic part of the project: do your own concept, create models, integrate them in unity, manage materials, lighting, baking, and if there’s something to optimize you will determine what and act on it
Deal with unknowns (es: maybe you never did vfx or animations, but they’ll fall on you!)
If you have game design skills as well you’ll contribute also with this
Requirements:
Experience working with Unity Engine, managing and profiling graphical features
Proficiency in full 3D workflow, from modeling to game ready asset integrated in-engine
Proficiency in Blender/3DS Max/Maya, Substance Suite and familiar with the majority of modern 3D software packages
Understand the limitations and able to optimize 3D for mobile devices
Able to understand and follow creative direction requirements
Sense of aesthetic (composition, colors, lighting)
Strong attention to detail with a problem-solving attitude
Passion for games, XR and cutting-edge technology
Diligent, positive, able to receive constructive criticism
Excellent communication skills and generally a nice person to have around
Good English communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice to have:
Good knowledge of VR and AR design principles
Technical art skills (shader programming, managing render pipelines…)
Animation, Rigging and skinning
2D Art skills (Concept and UI)
