We currently have an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join our mechanical team as 310T Certified Technician for our Sudbury, Ontario division at our Lively, Ontario shop. We welcome and encourage applications from 310J Truck–Trailer Service Technicians, as well as 3rd year apprentices, as we have apprenticeship developmental programs in place. Are you a registered 310T Technician? Do you enjoy the challenges of a fast pace ever changing environment? This position is responsible for conducting annual safety inspections, performing repairs and following our preventative maintenance program on our current fleet of trucks, trailers and equipment. Duties assigned by Lead-Hand/Mechanical Superintendent. Compensation & Additional Information: Hourly rate will be based on experience and qualifications, as per the collective agreement; This position includes participation in on-call rotations, with opportunity for overtime (OT); Company vehicle may be provided while on-call, as required.

Requirements:
Licensed Truck & Coach Mechanic (310T)
310J Truck–Trailer Service Technician license considered an asset
3rd year apprentices are welcome for our developmental program
Registered for DriveOn portal
Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence
Knowledge and experience in Preventative Maintenance Programs
Knowledge and experience in engine/emission diagnostics, electrical diagnostics and repair
Knowledge and experience in heavy truck hydraulics, pneumatics, brakes, suspension, and steering
Knowledge and experience on Bosch Rexroth salt management system
Knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding considered an asset
Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety
Experience on industry related heavy-duty equipment such as gravel trucks, snow-plow trucks, winter maintenance attachments, loaders, grader, sweepers, mowers, backhoes, tractors, etc.
Capable of working overtime as required
Capable of performing call out to attend vehicle breakdown
Nice to have:
310J Truck–Trailer Service Technician license
knowledge and experience in fabrication and welding
